When Should I Consider BOTOX®?

If you”ve ever looked in the mirror and thought, “I wish I didn”t have these lines,” or “What can I do to correct these wrinkles that make me look angry?”, then BOTOX® Cosmetic may be the answer you”re looking for. Patients sometimes ask me if they are “old enough” for BOTOX. While there is no specific age requirement for BOTOX, some may not know when the appropriate time is to consider this non-invasive treatment.

In general, BOTOX is not needed for women in their early 20″s. Although there may be some special cases where it may be appropriate for a person of that age, typically it is not needed for people that young.

However, it is important to understand that every patient is unique. There is no specific age at which you should start considering the advantages of BOTOX.

If you do feel that you could benefit from a BOTOX treatment, I recommend consulting a dermatologist who is a San Diego BOTOX specialist.
