When It Comes to Beauty, Don’t Bargain

Any plastic surgery procedure comes with a price tag, so it is not very surprising that women and men search for ways to save money while still attaining the results they desire. The problem with these so-called “beauty bargains” is that they can come with a high price as well – particularly when surgery is involved. The price can be years of disappointment, unnecessary pain, or worse.

I always advise my Destin and Pensacola plastic surgery patients not to be overly concerned with price, because what really matters is the results. For instance, if they go to a surgeon for a breast augmentation because it was the cheapest option, yet are unhappy with the results, they will likely have to spend even more money than they originally would have by getting a breast augmentation revision.

While skimping on surgical cost is probably not the best choice, it is important to keep in mind that cost is not entirely indicative of the quality of the surgeon. When choosing among surgeons, pay attention to their qualifications, their experience, and the quality of results they have achieved. On this last point, the best thing you can do is to review plenty of patient before and after photos, both online and in the office.
