The Many Faces of Facelift Surgery

If you have been thinking about having a face lift in the Bay Area, you may have run across several facelift trade names, such as the QuickLift™ and the Lifestyle Lift®. These procedures are essentially modified versions of a traditional facelift that use different surgical techniques to achieve various levels of improvement. Some that you may have heard of include:

  • QuickLift: Ideal for tightening skin on the lower face and neck, this minimally invasive procedure requires little downtime and can be performed with a local anesthetic.
  • Lifestyle Lift: This 1-hour procedure is beneficial for people who want to eliminate sagging skin around the lower face and neck and achieve a more defined jawline.
  • Mini-lift: Also called the “Weekend Facelift,” this technique uses small incisions and gentle tissue dissection techniques to reduce recovery time to 2 or 3 days.

I usually recommend that my patients come visit me for a thorough consultation in order to determine which approach will best meet their needs. In some cases, I may suggest alternative treatments such as eyelid surgery or a brow lift. Injectable products such as BOTOX® Cosmetic or dermal fillers can also be options for people who aren”t ready for surgery but who want to refresh their looks. By taking into consideration your goals and individual features, I can create a range of results, from subtle to dramatic.
