The Truth About Trademarked Facelifts

Most of my Palo Alto plastic surgery patients have heard of popular branded facelifts such as the Vampire FaceLift® Procedure™. But are these procedures as great as they sound in their ads? In short, not really. I always advise my patients to be wary of gimmicky plastic surgery procedures because:

  • Unqualified surgeons often perform trademarked facelifts to attract patients
  • The surgical techniques used are typically inferior to that of traditional facelift surgery
  • Results are generally not as long lasting as a standard facelift

Getting the Results You Want

While trademarked facelifts undeniably have catchy names, they are no substitute for proven procedures performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon. At my practice, I customize each facelift surgery depending on the level of correction my patients want to achieve. I take every precaution to ensure my patients’ safety and satisfaction with their new look. If you are interested in rejuvenating your appearance, I highly encourage you to select a surgeon based on experience, credentials, and skill rather than advertising.
