Bring Old Photos of Yourself to Your Consultation

Face lift surgeon of Ft. Myers discusses the results you may expect after surgery.

After a face lift, you shouldn’t feel like you’re seeing a stranger when you look in the mirror. You should look like yourself, only younger – never fake or “worked-on.” That’s why I make sure that my face lift patients from Ft. Myers and Naples get a completely natural-looking result.

There are a lot of things that go into getting that natural look patients want, most of which will come from your choice of surgeon. First, you need a surgeon with the experience to understand facial anatomy and surgical technique. Second, your surgeon should have an artistic eye, and be someone who is more than just technical. Finally, it is crucial to find a surgeon who will take the time to customize a procedure for you. If you have all these things, you’ve gone a long way toward ensuring a natural result. However, there’s something else you can do: go through your old photo albums.

That’s right – dust off those old albums and flip through to find photographs of yourself when you were younger. Find one or more that look the way you’d like to look (but, be realistic about how many years a face lift can really take off your appearance). Doing this will help your surgeon produce a result that looks like you, not like someone else. My plastic surgery patients from Ft. Myers, Florida are glad they did.
