The Mommy Makeover Formula

A common trend for women in Mississauga considering cosmetic surgery after pregnancy is to combine multiple treatments into a single procedure. This approach is often referred to as a Mommy Makeover. At my practice, a Mommy Makeover usually incorporates various procedures to address areas of the body most affected by pregnancy — usually the breasts and midsection.

Breast Procedures

Pregnancy weight gain and nursing can take a toll on a woman’s breasts. Typically, most moms are concerned about deflation and sagging. To restore volume, I recommend a breast augmentation. This will give the breasts a fuller look with enhanced cleavage. Women who are happy with their breast size but who want their breasts to look “perkier” are good candidates for a breast lift. Some women whose breasts have lost volume and sag can benefit from both procedures.

Body Sculpting

There’s no question that a woman’s abdomen changes after pregnancy. Often, the stretching of skin and muscles causes muscle separation, or diastasis. This condition can be corrected only through plastic surgery procedures such as a tummy tuck. No amount of exercise can repair diastasis. With a tummy tuck, my patients can enjoy a flatter, firmer midsection and sometimes a reduction in stretch marks. Liposuction can also be used to remove excess fat from the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, or arms.
