Looking Better From Behind

Traditionally, many of my San Jose cosmetic surgery patients are interested in breast augmentation. Lately, however, I’ve received more and more requests for buttock augmentation.

Buttock augmentation creates a more prominent and youthful-looking backside for individuals who lack volume and shape in that area. For this reason, buttock augmentation is quickly becoming one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures.

Your Options

Buttock augmentation can be performed using either implants or your body’s own fat tissue. Implants are a good choice for thin people who have very little excess fat. Implants also provide very predictable results as they allow the surgeon more control over the process. The implants are usually made of a durable silicone material similar to that used in breast implants.

Procedure Details

Implants are typically inserted through incisions in the gluteal crease to minimize the visibility of scars. After the surgery, there may be some swelling and soreness for a few days, and a special compression bandage may be used to help facilitate healing.
