Liposuction: Still Popular after All These Years

Liposuction was initially developed in the early 1970s and further refined throughout the decade. It really caught on as a popular cosmetic procedure in the U.S. the 1980s. In 1985, the tumescent liposuction approach was developed, which revolutionized liposuction. Tumescent liposuction begins with the injection of a solution that swells the fat cells for easier removal while also providing local anesthesia for the area and minimizing bleeding.

Liposuction has remained popular for so long because it works. It permanently reduces the number of fat cells in the treated area. To enjoy slimmer curves in the long term, all my Louisville liposuction patients need to do is continue exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet.
