Going Braless After Breast Lift

Dr. Janssen discusses wearing a bra after breast lift surgery in Milwaukee.

The purpose of breast lift surgery is to counteract the effects of age and gravity to give you perky, firm breasts. Failing to wear a bra can contribute to the speed and severity of breast drooping – the reason for considering a breast lift in Milwaukee in the first place. But, once they’ve had a breast lift to counteract these effects, many seem to think that they can go braless without concern. Quite simply, they’re wrong.

A breast lift will not make your breasts immune from the effects of gravity or put a stop to the natural aging process. Eventually, your breasts will begin to sag again. Unfortunately, going without a bra can expedite this process as easily as it did prior to your breast surgery. What I always tell my breast lift patients is that they are going to look great after surgery and that taking care of themselves and wearing a bra can make sure their great new look is long-lasting.
