BOTOX® Cosmetic for ‘Bunny Lines’

The term “bunny lines” may sound cute, but the majority of people who have these wrinkles don”t find them very endearing. At my practice, I often use BOTOX® Cosmetic for San Diego patients who want to soften the appearance of these lines and create a softer look.

What exactly are “bunny lines”?

Bunny lines are horizontal wrinkles around the nose that are most obvious when a person smiles or squints. They are usually present on both sides of the nose but may be more prominent on one side than the other.

How do bunny lines form?

Bunny lines are formed by repetitive facial movements, such as smiling.

How does BOTOX help reduce bunny lines?

BOTOX works by softening the facial muscles that cause the wrinkles. Since the muscles are relaxed, they cannot form a crease, which results in a smoother appearance.

How long do the results last?

The results of BOTOX usually last for 3 or 4 months. You can maintain your results with regular treatments.

What else is BOTOX used to treat?

BOTOX is very popular for treating forehead wrinkles and lines around the eyes. It can also be combined with dermal filler injections for more dramatic effects.
