Smaller breast size may not be the only problem facing San Diego breast enlargement patients. For certain patients, MicroLiposuction can often help de-emphasize a “heavy” lower body shape while re-emphasizing the upper torso and focusing attention more toward your face.

Balanced Results: Know Your Goals

Any cosmetic surgery procedures should center on the same goal: balance. That means that when you undergo a San Diego breast enlargement procedure, you should be thinking beyond just breast volume.

Often, women are so used to seeing themselves in a certain way or focusing on one feature, they lose sight of how their body appears as a whole. Part of a cosmetic surgeon’s job is to work with you to understand how you can meet your goals in ways that most benefit the look of your whole body.

Why Liposuction?

For many breast enhancement patients in San Diego, MicroLiposuction helps meet that goal because it can de-emphasize common problem areas in ways that flatter a fuller chest shape, without the discomfort of traditional liposuction. The result is a slimmer, dramatically more proportional look that improves the appearance of the body as a whole while emphasizing the curvier results of breast enlargement. Typical San Diego MicroLiposuction treatment areas include:

  • “Saddlebags”: Wide outer thighs give the body a horizontal look that de-emphasizes even “perky” breasts and can make the whole body appear larger. Smoothing out this area helps elongate the look of the legs and of the body as a whole, focusing attention on your face and upper body. Small adjustments to the inner thighs also often help.
  • Upper back: Even small-breasted women often suffer from “bra rolls” that give a bulgy look to the upper torso. Correcting this area often helps improve the look of the breasts and back, and allows the patient to wear slimmer clothing that flatters her breast shape.
  • Flanks and buttocks: Changes to the shape of either the breasts or the buttocks tend to improve the look of both, but sometimes the hips and lower back require extra attention. Small adjustments to fatty deposits above the buttocks can often help balance upper and lower-body curves.

MicroLiposuction: What You Need to Know

Not all surgeons perform MicroLiposuction. I use Phaser Microlipo®, a specific system that integrates minimally invasive approaches with a specific set of post-surgical care practices to help patients recover faster.

When you meet with your San Diego breast enhancement surgeon, be sure to ask what kind of precautions he or she takes to prevent discomfort and speed recovery, and be wary of surgeons who insist that combination approaches are right for everyone. While evaluating your surgeon’s recommendations, keep in mind whether he or she seems to share your goals for a balanced, attractive shape that fits what you want and who you are.
