Dr. Houtan Chaboki is a facial plastic surgeon in Washington DC who is dedicated to building strong relationships with his patients. Dr. Chaboki believes in individualized care. Education & Training
Dr. Chaboki completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University and his MD from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 2000. He went on to complete his residency in otolaryngology, or head & neck surgery, at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where he later became a facial plastic surgeon fellow.
As an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the George Washington Medical Faculty Associates Department of Surgery, Dr. Chaboki teaches other physicians in facial plastic surgery and specialized techniques. In addition to teaching, Dr. Chaboki performs a number of pro bono cosmetic surgeries for victims of domestic violence as a member of FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project.
Facial Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery
Facial plastic surgery requires a great deal of skill. Facial plastic surgeons must make minute adjustments in order to give the most natural-looking results. Dr. Chaboki has trained extensively in the complex anatomy, pathology, physiology, biochemistry, and bacteriology of all the parts of the head and neck and has extensive experience performing facial procedures such as the following at his practice:
- Brow Lift: Dr. Chaboki performs this procedure to diminish wrinkles and frown lines, as well as correct sagging and heaviness of the brow. He performs endoscopic brow lifts, a technique that is less invasive and has distinct advantages over more traditional methods.
- Eyelid Surgery: In the District of Columbia, blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is one of the common procedures Dr. Chaboki performs. Blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat around the eyes, making them look more alert and youthful.
- Face Lift: Washington, D.C. face lift patients come to see Dr. Chaboki to reduce facial wrinkles and correct sagging skin and other signs of aging.
- Rhinoplasty: Dr. Chaboki’s District of Columbia rhinoplasty patients are interested in reshaping their noses but want natural-looking results. They come to Dr. Chaboki because he provides quality results with endonasal (closed) rhinoplasty, where incisions are only made on the inside of the nose, promoting less swelling and numbness after surgery.
