With over 20 years of experience in facial plastic surgery, Dr. M. Sean Freeman has been at the cutting edge of facial cosmetic surgery since he opened his Charlotte, North Carolina practice in 1988, developing newer and better surgical techniques and contributing a great deal of literature to his field. Whether he is performing non-surgical treatments or facial surgery such as blepharoplasty or a face lift in North Carolina, Dr. Freeman brings a level of quality and safety built through years of experience.
Education & Memberships
Dr. Freeman is certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology (1987) and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (1991). After completing his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin (1982). He completed an internship at Santa Barbara College Hospital, his residency for head and neck surgery at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, and a fellowship in facial plastic surgery at Washington University.

Surgical Facial Sculpting
As a specialist in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Freeman performs a wide range of facial procedures. Every procedure he offers is customized for each patient. Some of the surgeries Dr. Freeman performs are:
- Face Lift, Minituck or SignatureLift: All three procedures treat differing degrees of facial sagging and wrinkles. The SignatureLift was developed by Dr. Freeman to treat patients who may not need a traditional face lift or those who have already had a face lift and see new signs of aging.
- Rhinoplasty (nose surgery): A common procedure that Dr. Freeman performs to improve the shape, size and position of the nose on the face.
- Endoscopic Brow Lift: Performed to treat forehead wrinkles and sagging with the use of small incisions and a small camera.
- Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty: Performed to treat sagging skin below the brows or fatty deposits under the eyes.
- Lip Enhancement: Lip augmentation is performed either using surgical implants or fillers and a lip lift is a surgical procedure to reshape the lips.
- Neck Lift: Performed to treat sagging skin and muscle on the neck.
- Facial Implants: Including chin and cheek implants, facial implants can enhance the shape and balance of a patient’s face.
