About the Practice
The doctors at Dermatology Specialists, Inc. are experienced in performing an extensive range of dermatology procedures. They offer both clinical and cosmetic dermatology procedures such as BOTOX® and hair removal in San Diego and Riverside counties.
Meet Our Doctors
As one of the largest dermatology practices in San Diego and Riverside counties, the diverse group of specialists treats a broad spectrum of issues, from aging skin to eczema.
David I. Wolf, MD graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and at San Francisco, and spent 18 months of surgery training at U.C. San Diego and Stanford University before completing his residency in dermatology at Duke University.
Ruth Gilboa, MD graduated from the University of Lund Medical School, Lund, Sweden and completed her dermatology residencies at St. Goran’s Hospital and Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.
Patricia N. Speelman, MD graduated from George Washington University and completed two residencies at Brooke Army Medical Center, Department of Dermatology and at Willford Hall USAF Medical Center, Department of Pathology. She also completed a fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in Dermatopathology.
Darryl S. Wong, MD graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency in dermatology at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. He later went on to complete a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Joseph A. Samady, MD graduated from Cornell University, New York before earning his Medical Degree at the New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency at the New Jersey Medical School for Dermatology, where he later became Chief Resident.
Julia Kurlan, MD graduated from the First Moscow Medical School, Moscow, Russia, after earning her bachelor’s degree in Nursing at the Moscow Medical College, Moscow, Russia, School of Nursing. She completed her residencies at Wright State University, Dayton, OH in Dermatology and at Chandler Medical Center, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, in the Department of Internal Medicine.
Jens Thiele, MD, PhD graduated from JW Goethe University in Germany and went on to complete residencies at Boston University and Tufts University in their Departments of Dermatology, and at Schiller University, Department of Dermatology, in Jena, Germany. He completed a fellowship at the ACGME & Mohs College, Procedural Dermatology & Mohs Surgery.
