With over 3 decades of dermatology practice, Dr. Paul Getz combines extensive experience as a board-certified dermatologist in the Chicago area with a knowledgeable staff to provide patients with the best service available. He encourages his patients to actively participate in their care. Dr. Getz is known for his commitment, attentiveness, and open communication style.
Education and Training
Dr. Getz earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois, Champaign, and followed that with a Medical Doctorate at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He continued his training in Chicago with a 4-year dermatology residency training at Cook County Hospital. Following his residency, Dr. Getz spent 17 years practicing with The Permanente Medical Group in Richmond, California, renowned for its advances and contributions to medical care.
Dr. Getz continued his work in California, serving as the Chief of the Department of Dermatology and on the clinical faculty of the University of California, San Francisco. After this extensive work and training, Dr. Getz decided to open his dermatology practice near Chicago. Dr. Getz is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Cosmetic Skin Care
Dr. Getz provides women and men with a wide range of cosmetic procedures to treat a variety of conditions and concerns. Dundee Dermatology offers BOTOX® Cosmetic for Chicago area patients interested in reducing the appearance of frown lines that appear along the upper portion of the face.
Non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments offered at Dundee Dermatology also include popular injectable fillers such as Restylane®, JUVÉDERM®, Perlane®, RADIESSE® , and Sculptra® . Each of these have their place in restoring volume and diminishing the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles. In addition, Dr. Getz offers acne skin treatments, chemical peels, and skin care products to rejuvenate the skin.
Laser Services
Dr. Getz uses a carefully selected variety of lasers to treat conditions such as rosacea, psoriasis, acne, multiple signs of aging such as wrinkles, and sun spots. In addition, he offers laser hair removal for Chicago area patients who seek an alternative to more traditional methods such as waxing, plucking, and shaving. Dr. Getz also uses lasers for other applications, such as tightening the skin and treating veins.
