A highly specialized facial plastic surgeon who is certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Jarmuz has earned a reputation for facial plastic surgery and non-surgical facial rejuvenation in Atlanta. Men and women travel to her practice from outside the state and even from overseas.
Education and Training
Dr. Jarmuz earned her M.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After completing her postgraduate training in General Surgery through the Emory University affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Jarmuz concluded her surgical subspecialty training through Emory University in Otolaryngology. During her educational years, Dr. Jarmuz developed a strong interest in plastic surgery of the face, head and neck. As a result of that interest and her background, she was chosen for a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and received one of only 37 positions nationwide. During this Fellowship, Dr. Jarmuz became highly experienced and skilled in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyes, face, head and neck.
In addition to her practice, Dr. Jarmuz has been actively involved in teaching facial plastic and reconstructive surgery to the Residents at the Emory University School of Medicine, where she holds an academic appointment of Clinical Instructor in the department of Otolaryngology. Recipient of awards for her research in wound-healing and injectable fillers, Dr. Jarmuz has authored multiple publications and lectured nationally.
