When discussing LATISSE® with my cosmetic surgery patients in Fort Meyers and Naples, Florida, there’s a question I frequently get asked: “Do I have to apply LATISSE every night for the rest of my life if I want the results to last?” I think there are probably many people out there with the same concern, so I’m going to share my thoughts on the subject.

1) Using LATISSE every night will continue to improve your lashes until, as some patients have reported, your lashes become too long – for instance, I’ve heard about patients whose lashes were long enough to touch their eyeglasses. At that point, it may be time to reduce your use of LATISSE to twice a week. That’s a conversation you should have with your prescribing physician.

2) If you stop using LATISSE altogether, your eyelashes will return to their original state in about 3 to 4 months. Keep in mind that you can restart your use of LATISSE at any time if you want to return to having fuller, thicker and longer lashes.
